Thats great cause we've all seen in the movies how storm troopers couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, so i guess that it is fitting :)

Have I ever met you? You've been to Beavertown?

PDT_Armataz_04

After all the good stuff on A5OG I've been jonesin' for one...

I think I will ultimately end up turning it into a G36C milsim with an urban digital camo job...Then sell it and buy another... :)

Cant afford that much up front. So I picked up a new A5 from Action village. $219 shipped. Will slowly add the G36c components (~$224 total)

I like the look of the G36c....Mmmmm.....Picture this with a nice Urban Digital paint job.

Talk is cheap little man. You may want to have a loved one stand by with a cell phone. Have them dial 9-1- and then have their finger hover over the last 1 button. Just to minimize the amount of trauma you are going to endure.

So you finally broke down huh Wookie? Your first upgrade should be a good barrel. I picked up a Smart Parts All American from Action Village a couple of weeks ago for $29.99. That was a smokin deal because they normally retail for $89.99. They were having a fire sale and I couldn't pass it up. I've played 1 day with it and was impressed with the accuracy.

You might check A5OG for some reviews or the Spec Ops site.

Sure does look pretty. It's got a nice Milsim look to it. lol

Personally I don't care what mine looks like as long as it gets the job done according to my standards. Getting fancy with how it looks won't make me a better player.

Well, my goal is to paint it up purty and sell it for a wee profit, then buy another gun and do the same...

Ahh, capitalism...gotta love it...

Wookie...don't sell your 98 Flatline barrel until after you read this. Flup put a 98 Flatline barrel on an A5. Check it out.

Thats awesome man!!! You'll be quite a suppresive force now that you're moving from like 3 bps to 15 bps, (especially if you go FULL AUTO like someone else I know) you'll love it. As for the flatline...being someone who owns both a 98 flatline and a A5 flatline I would say DO NOT USE A 98 FLATLINE ON THE A5. The design of the A5 flatline is SOOO much better than the 98 version. One thing to keep in mind with the flatline though, yes...it absolutely gives you a straighter and longer trajectory, but that does not mean it is more accurate, Goose, Mike, and I all learned that first hand. You will learn the pros and cons of it yourself and decide which is better for you. Mike may still have his A5 to spyder adapter with J&J cermaic barrell, so you may look into buying that off of him, I love the J&J ceramic, you can shoot just about any quality paint through it. Enjoy the new marker!!!

Good advise Phil. Try and buy Mikes J&J ceramic and the adaptor. I will let you borrow my flatline to see if you like it also. Shoot me a call on my cell so we can hook up. I'll keep the flatty in my car and meet you somewhere so you can try it out.

I'm leaning away from flatlines...like you said, greater range...not necessarily greater accuracy....

hmm, bad mojo.

When i gas it up, i hear air leaking from around what i presume is the tombstone....

just my luck, tippmann is closed for the day...

their forum has a faq that says it might be 'Damaged cup seal or cup seal not installed properly.'

EDIT: Whew! So where the steel braid inserts into teh tombstone must've loosened during transit. Was able to tighten it...

I can't hit the broad side of a barn from 10 feet away with the flatty. You might have better luck than me. Like I said...if you want to borrow it to see for yourself your more than welcome. :-)
