A quiet barrel

Anyone know of a "Quiet" Barrel for an X7 they would recommend?

not sure about x7 threads but the J&J product line is pretty quite. Lapco big shots are great barrels as well.

I read somewhere that barrels with reverse porting are ideal. the sound is directed back at the shooter versus toward the target.

Hammerhead barrels advertise this feature.

If you want the absolute quietest barrels then you need to get a carbon fiber barrel such as one from Sly or Stiffi, nothing is more quite but they are about $100. Like duck said, for the price the J&J's are pretty good, because of the sound dampening properties of the ceramic in them and of course the porting.
