Vendor: Sportkilt.com (http://www.sportkilt.com/departments/mens-sport-kilts/commando-kilt%7E1.cfm)
Product: MARPAT Commando Kilt
Size: (Large-Long)
Cost: $150 shipped
I finally got to play my first game w/ this kilt yesterday and it was great!
Oh sure you get a few 'Nice skirt' comments. The best part was hearing this: "Oh man, I got shot by a guy in a skirt!"
:)
I was a little worried I mike get a cactus or branch up my privates, but after 6 hours of mixed woodland terrain, i had no problems, and best of all, with the extreme heat, I felt nice and cool.
Camo pattern worked great. I was even eliminated by my own team because I looked too sneaky. :)
This particular model is their 'Commando' variant which really just means it has pleats, 2 pockets and 3" belt loops.
Pros:
Cost ($150 aint bad!)
Comfortable!
MARPAT colors (also desert and ACUPAT avaialble)
Velcro waist band. So you dont necessarily need a belt.
Sexy. Oh sure guys will make the usual nice skirt comments, while their ladies give you the 'mmmmm' eyes.
Cons:
Pockets are sewn into fabric, rather than sitting on top like Utilikilts'. This makes it hard to stuff things inside them (barrel swaps, pods, etc...)
If I were to do it over again, i might go with their basic kilt without pockets or ask if he can custom make some pockets that sit on the outside like Utilikilts')...Or maybe even one with built in pod holders....
