Went to pick up some paint and CO2 and was talking to him about a mod I had heard about that will make you 98 quieter...Basicly you place some adhesive backed vinyl on the hammer and sear catch. 'spposed to help reduce the PING from each shot.

He looked at me like I had just told him the earth was flat...no really, its flat...

go to www.model98.net for all mods, I've head of something about that trigger spring silencer and stuff. You could do like mike on his backup 98 and JB weld the side slot and modify the back for just a small hold to go through for the **** lever

definitely been scouting model98.net...They have an interesting mod for the spring that I want to try.

I'm trying not to sink too much into my '98, since I want to upgrade to an A5...Otherwise I would look into the (full bear?) rear cocker for the 98.

Putting the final touches on my marker tonight...And then a layer of clearcoat for protection...I can't wait...

ya, don't waste money on that cocking thing, not worth it. I saw the illest model 98 on ebay go for only like $210!!! It had the ebolt, low pressure kit, palmers regulator J&J barrel that was custom painted with the body cammo. Someone got a sweet as gun for CHEAP!!!

hey, whats a palmer?
Rosie and her 5 sisters would be able to answer that question better than us. lol

Like Phil said, it's called a Palmers Regulator/Stabilizer. It's main purpose is to keep you in the game for more than 15 seconds. It holds Jedi powers that makes paintballs bounce off you and never break. On a full moon, once a year, it will also transform into a light saber that will shoot paintballs with Yoda like accuracy. j/k

In short, it's supposed to make your gun fire shots within +-4 FPS which translates into better accuracy. I have one on my A5 but I don't think it makes me a better player because of it and to be honest, when I chrono, I still get a 10 to 15 FPS variance. Save the $110 bucks it costs and invest in something else with the cash. I would suggest buying a good HPA tank. There's a reason why. (see the post about what the difference is between HPA and CO2...I'm to lazy to go find it)

BTW...I made your Digi-Paint, how to, post on A5OG a Sticky. Excellent post. 8)
