We had a blast.
There were some issues, but it was fun overall.
On the positive side:
Playing paintball with 150-200 people rocks!
The terrain was a great mix, Light woodland to tall river grass.
Meeting people we had tlaked to on other boards...
Negatives:
They ran out of paint (we got ours luckily)
MOSQITOS!! BIG FREAKING MUTANT MOSQUITOS!
Refs that had no balls. Mostly kids.
Disorganzed Chrono stations. (taking 30 minutes to chrono the the players...)
We will do it again next year.
Not many picutred, we forgot to take our cameras in the field.
Here's gooses' trophy hickey...

It was kick ass....I learned a few new moves/tactics. 8)
You guys should have seen HolyTorror go........he was a freaking mad man...he showed no fear and played excellent.
And Phil was taking peeps out left and right with his awesome stealth/military skills.
Liz can be on my team any day of the week and twice on sunday. In the final battle, which was set up on a speedball field, was aprox 40 on 40 soldiers in a tiny area and Liz was the only member on our side to capture the diamond in the middle of the field and hold it as time ran out.
Wookie was worth his weight in gold and did an excellent job as a medic. He must have healed at least 100 wounded throughout the day to keep them in the game. And as an extra bonus he eliminated several opsfor also.
Me.....My highlight was being part of an 8 person C-140 parachutte mission to destroy their base for 50 points. How this works is you line 8 paratroopers up in a single file. The first and last trooper hold a stick with a rope attached and evryone in the middle must hold on to the rope until the jump is announced. (You cannot be shot while holding on to this rope) The cool part about this was we had two referes escorting us while we marched down the field with a huge flag of a C-140 waving in the wind. Wish I had a pic of that...it was freaking awesome. It was so quiet when we were marching that you could hear this 3x4 foot flag waving in the wind. We circled around their base for about 5 minutes until we decided we were in the best position to begin battle. It was a wild shoot out as we were out numbered 3 to 1 but still managed to accomplish our mission. Later we found out from the powers that be decided we destroyed one of their hotels instead of their base and we were only awarded 25 points. It sure looked like their base to me since there were no other structures on their side of the field that were plywood boxes. *shruggs shoulders*
It was a close battle and we only lost by 30 points. The final score was 405 to 375 in favor of the south. Bah.....We got off to a slow start and were dominated during the morning play. I contribute this phenomenon to field knowledge. After all...this was the home field of 95% of the south's players. It would be like inviting them to Beaver Town where they wouldn't be familiar with the terrain where as we know all the little nooks and crannies. But...in the afternoon play...we took it to them and dominated. Just took a little time to get aquainted with our surroundings.
Hotel accomodations were excellent other than the fact they don't provide you with shampoo. lol There was a Country Western bar right across the street where I found myself in the middle of a 15 lady bachelorette party until about 3:00 am friday night. 10 of them were from Jersey...I think they were suffering from culture shock. LOL :-) What a blast!!! :P
I want to go back in the middle of September for the 24 hr. snenario "Stillers"(click me) (http://fledglingscenarios.com/stillers.html) game. Can't wait to slither through the woods at 2 o'clock in the morning firing paintballs and guarding moonshine with the intent to distribute. hahaha. FBI, COPS against the BOOTLEGGERS. Missions galore....yeah baby. Sounds like a kick in the butt to me.
The really great thing about this trip though was driving up there. We took my shortcut and made it there in 3 1/2 hours. :-)

Hey all, it was an honor to play with you guys at BWIII! Im very much looking forward to your next trip up here.
You guys and gal were great. Here are just a few highlights from the game I shared with a few of you. Goose, thanks for the coverfire at the river. Man those guys were holed up tight! That C140 mission was intense! Wookie was a great medic, he healed me just in time to get shot in the back. Talk about bravery and honor! We tried to take cover but but those guys had a awsome hole to shoot out of. Liz, damn fine paintballer. And kind enough to keep here kills company when they dive into the brush right beside her and then decide there not dead anymore.lol
All of you are welcome to fight beside us again, anytime.

Hey Silk....Good to hear from you man. :-) We had fun and appreciate you guys letting us run with you.
Not gonna make it to BCP this weekend but I'm definately in for The Stillers game. The weather will be perfect that time of year also for paintball. Hopefully the skeeters will be gone too. lol
