Anybody know of a quicker way of doing it?

It is currently taking me about 5 hours per DVD to rip to my hard drive saving them as Divx format....they are only going about 9.5 frames per second. The quality is Awsome but 5 hours? its killin me smalls

I am using a program I bought called "Easy DVD to Divx"

I use 1 click DVD copy. This program kicks ass and I make a "backup copy" (yeah right) of all of my DVD's. A couple of my friends have this program also and we burn copies for one another. It takes about 15 minutes to copy a DVD and it also supports burning dual layer, (although these dvd's are about 10 bucks each right now) so I use the 4.7 Gb dvd's to burn with. I have burned a couple dual layers just to see how it worked and it makes a better copy because it doesn't have to compress the movie. I have been using this program for a year now and I have no complaints.

I've been using Clone DVD, pretty happy with it...

I'm gettin ready to enter the forbidden world of DVD rippin'. I just put together a new system with a dual layer DVD burner and I'm about to throw in DVD ROM. I've used cloneCD to rip those so I think I should have some luck with cloneDVD, if not, Wook you gotta hook me up with some good software. Check out the new system...
AMD 64 FX-55
BFG Geforce 7800 GTX OC'ed
1GB Corsair XMS Ram
ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
SATA WD Harddrive

Big Pimpin!!!

Beautiful system!

I use CloneDVD...When that fails I use DVD-Decrypter followed by DVD Shrink. They require more steps, but can get the job done when CloneDVD fails me (Which aint to often)

so I bought a registration number for CloneDVD on ebay for $5 and activated it so now I have the full version. Last night i burnt a copy of matrix revolutions with it and checked out the quality on my dvd player....it was quite poor :( so i then downloaded the trial version of 1clickDVD and burnt the same DVD and then watched it.....much much better!!!! It also burnt quite a bit faster with 1clickDVD. So now I'm trying to figure out a cheap way to obtain 1clickDVD, so if you guys have any suggestions just let me know. thanks!

I told you guys that 1 click dvd kicks ass. That clone dvd program is crap. With all of the dvd's that my friends and I have copied for one another I have payed for the cost of the program many times over. Two of my buddies belong to netflix and they just order movies and copy them.
